Now's your chance!

Beginning at 3 p.m. on May 16 and ending at 3 p.m. on May 17, Carilion Clinic will attempt to break the world record for the most blood pressures taken over a 24 hour period. The event will take place at Valley View Mall and we need your help. The current record is 2,109 blood pressures taken, which means we need over 2,110 people to show up for a blood pressure screening!

In June 2010, Carilion Clinic will graduate its first, newly trained neurosurgeon. Often called “brain surgeons” neurosurgeons also treat problems in the spine and peripheral nerves. They are a vital part of the region’s medical community, treating seriously injured accident victims, patients with brain tumors and aneurysms, children with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, along with people suffering from many types of back and neck ailments, as well as many other disorders of the nervous system.
