It's hard to believe that I wrote my first post on this blog one month ago. So, I thought I would let you know how it's been going.
Seven hundred twelve separate visitors have accessed this blog, resulting in 1486 visits. On average each person looks at 2.32 pages per visit, and stays an average of about 2 and a half minutes per visit. Each day, about a third of the visitors to the blog are new.
Most of you have gotten here by clicking through from referring sites, such as the main Carilion pages, or clicking a link in facebook, but some of you may have bookmarked the site (yay!) or are typing in the URL each time you visit (15%). You are visiting the blog from the US, Canada, UK, China and Korea; and within the US from 38 different states, although of course most of you are from Virginia.
You seem to have been most interested in the "get your flu shot" post, as that is the page that is visited most often after the home page. Most of you should not have to wait long to access any of the pages, as over three quarters of you are using cable for your connection, some have a super-fast T1 line (are you looking at this webpage at work???), and most of the rest have DSL. However, nearly one per cent are still using DIAL UP and that is surprising to me.
Most of you are using Explorer, but Firefox users make up nearly 20 per cent, followed by Safari, Chrome and Mozilla.
Since I am new to blogging, I don't really know if these results so far are good or bad. Of course I wish there were more of you. So, maybe I am not giving you what you want. PLEASE let me know what topics you would like for me to cover in the next 30 days.
That means I want EVERYONE who reads this to write a comment or two and let me know where you would like this blog to go.
Thanks, and Happy Halloween to all of you.
