Marc A. Platt, M.D., has been practicing medicine for four decades. He attended California College of Podiatric Medicine, where he also completed a preceptorship.
Dr. Platt’s areas of interest include bunions and bunionectomy; hammertoes; corns/calluses; diabetic wounds, shoes and inserts; flat feet, custom orthotics and braces; root and ankle injuries, including fractures and sprains; fracture repair; heel pain and plantar fasciitis; heel spur removal; toenail fungus; ingrown toenails; and warts and wart removal.
Dr. Platt is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, the American Board of Podiatric Orthopaedics and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopaedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. He also teaches at the Virginia Tech Carilion School Of Medicine.
The one thing that Dr. Platt finds most gratifying about his job is getting to know the patients. When he is not working in the office, he enjoys bicycling.
